Callie Brennan – Violin Teacher
Callie Brennan hails from the sunny state of Maine, where she first held a violin at the tender age of four. Throughout her childhood she studied with Ronald Lantz of the Portland String Quartet and received regular coaching in chamber music from the PSQ. At 17, she moved to Colorado to pursue a Bachelor’s degree, studying with Lina Bahn and Harumi Rhodes, as well as Ole Bohn at the Sydney Conservatorium for several months while abroad in Australia. This travel spurred her to look abroad for postgraduate study; specifically, The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. >>MORE
Andrea Pettigrew – Violin Teacher
Andrea Pettigrew began studying the violin at the age of 10 and makes her living as an orchestral and chamber musician throughout the Southeast. She is a member of the Asheville Symphony, the Savannah Philharmonic, and the Greenville Symphony. Andrea maintains a thriving private teaching studio in Asheville and Hendersonville made up of students of all ages. She has 25 years of teaching experience and is also recently certified in Suzuki Pre-Twinkle and Book 1 training. >>MORE
Karen Pommerich – Violin and Viola Teacher
Karen Pommerich is an active chamber musician and orchestral performer. A violinist with Asheville’s Opal String Quartet, she also performs frequently with the Charlotte Symphony and Asheville Symphony, and is a member of IRIS Orchestra (Germantown, Tennessee) and the Colorado Music Festival (Boulder). Previously she played full-time for 16 seasons in the 1st violin section of the Jacksonville Symphony, and has served as Principal 2nd Violin of the Sarasota Opera and Tallahassee Symphony. As a soloist, she has been featured with the Jacksonville Symphony, Dubuque Symphony, and the National Repertory Orchestra. >>MORE
