Group Music Lessons
Group music lessons are offered for select instruments. Other groups formed upon availability and request. For tuition information or to request the formation of a group, contact us.
Harp Studio Class Series
Join other harpists in wonderful music making. Ensemble-learning reinforces skills taught in private study, including listening, rhythm, intonation, and sight-reading abilities. It also allows musicians to encourage and support one another in a stress-free environment. Separate classes are offered for youth and adults. For schedule and tuition information, click here.
Audition Preparation Package
This experience is designed to prepare students for honor ensembles (All-County or All-State Band/Orchestra, Honor Choir, etc.) or school/community musical theatre auditions. The Audition Preparation Package includes four 30-minute or 60-minute private lessons in four consecutive weeks. No Program Fee required, but payment in full is required at time of registration. Chamber Ensembles are offered for strings, winds, brass, percussion, and more. Included are weekly coaching sessions with AFTA instructors, free rehearsal space, and recital participation. For tuition and other information, contact us.
Additional Seasonal Opportunities: Students grades 9 – 12 have the opportunity to play alongside professional musicians with the First Baptist Church of Asheville Orchestra throughout the year. For more information, contact us.

The Conservatory Track offers classes for students interested in more focused study in theory, sight-reading, music history, aural skills, and much more. Taught by AFTA faculty, these classes allow for an in-depth, yet flexible curriculum that meets the individualized needs of each student.
